  • Designed, coded, tested, implemented and supported a work order processing system to automate daily workload management for the credit department at Clark Public Utility District.
    • System captures eligible candidates from multiple sources, displays them for approval, forwards confirmed cases to the mobile workforce management system, receives results back, performs follow-up functions and produces documentary reports and spreadsheets.
    • The reduction of manual data entry allowed shift adjustments so personnel can provide better telephone coverage to customers. The District has received four J.D. Powers awards for customer service excellence.

  • Developed the interface module to capture updated billing and customer information for transmission to Clark PUD's GIS server.
  • Managed the project which replaced an obsolete data dictionary system supporting Freightliner's mainframe databases with a new multi-platform metadata repository. Handled the budget and scheduling. Prepared training materials and web content for the new web interface feature which provided programmers and analysts instant, simple access to corporate data structure information.

  • Provided technical expertise and support to Mercedes Benz Credit Corporation throughout the four year integration into Daimler Chrysler Financial Services.
    • Facilitated resources for many aspects of the conversion effort, including interim storage, bulk data transmission testing and tuning, print and tape archive migrations, security and access adjustments, conversion coverage, and sundown tasks.
    • Negotiated resources to diagnose and resolve chronic and acute transmission failures.
    • Upgraded Mercedes Benz Credit and Freightliner transaction processing, EDI and monitoring infrastructure products. Tested and verified systems through numerous operating system and hardware migrations.

  • Provided system programmer support to United Grocers, a $1 billion grocery wholesaler, during two conversions of their warehouse management system. Created and maintained several transaction processing and database testing environments. Supported the DBA team's requirements through a database upgrade. Trained several change control technicians.

  • Analyzed PayLess Drug's national computer communications complex to identify the causes of performance degradation. Directed improvements that reduced the transfer time of data collection uploads from 400 sites by as much as 80%. These changes added flexibility and scheduling responsiveness, which enabled the network to process double the number of store sites within the limited nightly collection time frame.

  • Provided system programming and system administration support to users, staff, and network at Pope & Talbot, a national pulp and paper manufacturer, during a simultaneous operating system conversion and outsourcing effort. Upgraded the EDI software. Managed the T1 telephone circuit installation, planned and tested network cutover, and devised ways to bring several extremely complex jobstreams under the control of the automated job scheduler.

  • Installed, customized, and tested an operating system upgrade for a local utility's customer office and email application with 500 users.

  • Diagnosed a critical hardware-software interface problem for IBM at an engineering firm in Mexico City when the national support team there requested expert-level assistance.
